This one is for...hmm...ME!

Isn’t it a great feeling, when you wait with a bated breath just to chat with a friend? Why does this happen?  And oh boy! How you don’t want this to be over, but you know what, you know all this will be over sooner than later. So you pray even harder for it not to be over. And then you get more scared of the fact that it will. And this is, I tell you, is a vicious circle. The whirlwind!
I think, the problem with our species is being ungrateful and greedy all the time, you want something bad enough, but when you get it you lose all  the respect for it. And there, now you want something else! Sometimes I feel bad for god, poor thing; must be going crazy up there with our volatile minds and demands. But didn’t you ask for something else, just the opposite, like ten minutes back- he would have asked us, only if he too had a telephone.

Okay so back to what I was discussing; it’s a great feeling, very fulfilling, to have a friend with whom you can be yourself, share you joys and doubts, without the fear of being coming across as an arse, talk about your problems you wouldn’t even discuss with you siblings and be assure that your secrets are not going anywhere. But the problem is the thin line between friendship and something else, and we just being mortal get confused at times.  Lets again blame god for making us this confusing…couldn’t he chose some nice, intelligent, clear-headed man for our genes pool, why oh why did he limited it to Noah?
How I keep derailing from the essential topic; so I was saying, that how do you make sure that you stay friends for life- for I have a few friends I do plan to retain lifelong. And again, why do you want a specific one to be your best friend and best friend for life? Isn’t as a rule your spouse should be your best friend?  Doesn’t everyone preach you so? But the problem is how are you going to bitch about your spouse with him/her only? Didn’t I raise the most pertinent questions?  (oh I could have been a lawyer but end up being a big lair)

I am bad at retaining friends; I have a bad history of having loony friends. I somehow attract wrong and mean people, but then who cares. Life is all about committing mistakes and not learning from those.  Who wants to waste time learning and remembering and then trying not to commit the same mistake again? For starters I Don’t  and I never will!

Anyway, I’m not coming to conclusion; this blog is not about conclusions and answers and logic. It is about writing down my random thoughts and then read them once I’m 60 and count my friends and see if I still think the same.

Here’s to the Most Opinionated Person in Office

He might be a person with a condescending attitude and an opinion about everything in life- from office loo to ‘much expected’ clients. But I have started to like his company off late, because he, I have seen, can strike interesting conversations with anyone and everyone.  Actually, I’m his evening driverJ. I drop him off till CR Park , and during this 45 minutes drive we have fascinating conversation on what needs to be changed  in this country to this company.

We rant about our day and pass opinions and comments about other people and  colleagues. Only yesterday, he was telling me about this girl in office, and to quote him, “what a beauty she is, and I fail to understand why all the guys in this office are idiots; why are they not eyeing her?” and he being he will not buy any of the explanations such as what is she already has a BF (it’s her prob- says him) or what if they all have GFs (  they are wasting their time and are idiots then). I think, he must be regretting that he is married, well though he did not say so…hehehe.
oh! by the way he doesnt find this other 'quite pretty' girl in office pretty, coz as per him she is dumb, and a dumb women can never be attractive. :D

But all in all, he is a good company, some times a bit annoying and mostly loud, but he is an intelligent  guy  and like me has a thing for bitching and cribbing. :D

P.S.- You better not start on  politics or sports with him, he can talk about it without eating or drinking for days…he is a BONG!

I’m online shopping sites favorite too

So I’m not only ‘my favorite’ (Aka Karina style in Jab we met) any longer, I think most of the deal and shopping sites are in love with me. What do they care, if my husband’s love go a notch down every time I reciprocate to the love showered by such ecommerce site.

I must be getting something around 6- messages and about 10 emails every day from various such sites.  While I am expected to spend half of my day going though all the best deals available every day what do I get in return?  Rotten deals, while Fashion and you took more than a month to deliver my coat, winters were almost over by the time I received it, number given on the deal and you voucher was unobtainable ( but I did manage to talk to someone at the parlor and get an appointment for coming Saturday J)- so the final verdict will be delivered post that.

Now, what I would really love to see is some credits for falling for your well written charming word, every time. But please spare me from some ridiculous points such as 100, coz I got 150 points from Fashion and you, and after spending 150 hours going through every page of the site I couldn’t find a single item for 150 bucks L. So, let’s play fair please…not bait thingy, if you want to retain this customer of yours.

Now I’m running to have my lunch…rest later

   Ciao, Bella

Daily battle between GOOD and BAD

Sometimes, I wonder who decides Good and what is Bad? Shouldn’t all the things that make you happy be put in the ‘GOOD’ category? Well, then what if, punching someone in face makes me happy. Ofcourse, it can’t be considered GOOD. Okay, so how about something which makes me happy and doesn’t hurt anyone, as long as people don’t get to know about it, can it be considered GOOD??

or should I say, is it okay to lie to your loved ones because you don’t want to hurt them, because you know your action are going to hurt them badly?

I know you will think, why do something which you know will hurt your loved ones, anyway? But I ask you, cross your heart and tell me honestly, is it easy to refuse happiness?

Be it going for those secret shopping trips or meeting friends anything?
But my question is how far can you go…

Winter is making me romantic – for the first time!!

Today I loved driving to office, looking at the blurry sky, beautifully but naturally shaped trees, and above all maddening Delhi traffic jam, all this ignited and brought to life that dead romance in me. Oh yes, I can be romantic, atleast when I’m alone driving and trying my best not to be late to office, like yesterday or day before for that matter like every other damn day, and honking and sneering at fellow drivers.

Ohh, the point is that I was feeling so romantic, so romantic that I wrote an email to one of the authors telling him, that I plan to read his book, so what if I take a year or two to do that. What matters is that I have taken an oath to read it ;-).

I am planning to be in romantic mood all day long today, so you may hear stories of a girl going about planting kissing on every one’s cheek, everyone within 200 meters. 200 meters because people are so scared of grumpy me that they are shit scared of coming within a dart range, poor bastards!

Oops, im not gonna let my anger get the best of me, not today, no chance- here to romantic girl on the block -woohoooo

Dont Mess With Me!

First week at new office -you know how boring first week usually is- if you know what I mean. You have to be at your best, it is worse than first week of your marriage. Where you still have a chance to chide your husband in private ;-). Anyway, here in fact I am not feeling even a bit bored. Instead I am happy that I am away from that blighted soul (at earlier office)- where I had to constantly work on my will and somehow keep myself from the impulse and strong desire of bunging my Blackberry handset at him at a speed of 200km/h J.

But you know every place or office has its own, well-reputed, blighter(s). But trust me, if this time, forget about messing up with me, some irritant tries to say even ‘HI’ to me they are in for fractured ribs.

Geee…I can be a real devil sat times. Now I have scared myself too.

Ah- I'm a MOM Now

It has been pretty long since i have not written to you dear blog. I m sorry for keeping my life secret from you;you know I am happy to be a mom, most of the times, but you know it is little difficult to get used to run around someone all the time try to understand what my child wants when her vocabulary is limited to DADA . Plus i don’t have right on a minute of my time anymore :(. it is difficult but at the same time there is a great satisfying feeling in raising someone who is a part of me. So the love is unconditional. I know it sounds like cliché but unconditional love gives greatest satisfaction and pleasure better than having a shot of ecstasy (no i have never tried it)

All in all my decision of having a child so early in our marriage, while my husband wanted to wait for another four years, was not that wrong. i am not like this. don’t you? :D. But as you are about to know i have become a mom now (mixed feelings). So i was busy looking after my little one. She is almost eleven months old and already a handful. phewwww. anyway i am going to be regular again going to share my feelings, happiness, vent my anger here and little bit of gossiping as usual.

Finally I have shopped for Lehenga (Wedding dress). We went shopping in Chandani Chawk market, on Sunday, when the market was closed. But, still we managed to get a very pretty (that’s how I find it) Lehanga. :) It is in maroon color with green boarded and golden embroideries.

I even posed in all other Lehanga’s I tired on. :)

I

Nothing can kill a girl's love for shopping :)

The whole weekend I was down with fever. But it failed to stop me from going out shopping. My husband gifted me a very pretty Mangalsutra, which I will start wearing after our marriage in Himachal, according to Himachali rituals. Hey don’t get confused we are already married, we had our court marriage in April this year. But you know parents!

I even had to pop some medicine on our way home, which we took from the nearest chemist, and it almost knocked me off for the whole night. When I woke up in the morning I was hysterical. It was 10:30 am and I though its Monday. But then my husband calmed me down and reminded me that it is only Sunday. It took me 5 minutes to believe him.
Anyway, nothing can kill a girl’s love for shopping. On Sunday, too I went out shopping with mom. Though, I did not get a thing for my self and as Saturday i had to take medicine.( this time i took paracetamol)
Oh yeah, we even celebrated dad’s birthday at 12 midnight.:) A day in advance! We all were thinking it is Oct. 7. :D, we made him cut the cake on 6th and even made him believe that his birthday is on 6th. :)

All in all my weekend was wonderful.

Back from the Press Conference- Yawnnnn

I have just come back from a press conference(was playing good Samaritan- colleague’s client) and now I am dead tired. Well, media turned up, as expected finally, infact more than 50  people came.

I am happy that I went to this press con, even though I am like a dead chicken now, because I have pitched my clients to a couple of the financial newspapers.

The Economic Times, biggest financial paper here in India, has agreed to have a telephonic interview with my client tomorrow and the business Standard has asked for more details.I have also met many new journalists.

Attending this conference and giving a helping hand to Shweta, my colleague, was successful for me too- kind of killed two birds with a stone( well, i will really hate to kill a bird) :-D

I am looking forward to many more such press conferences. :)

Wohhoo Got a Dragon Tattoo

I have got one more tattoo done over the weekend. I am not very happy with my first tattoo, and ever since I have got that, I wanted to get one more and, most probably, my last tattoo.
Well, it didn't take  much of an effort to persuade my husband (Gawd! I love him). On Saturday we both went to Mike studio at CR Park.BTW, he has got a cool and hip studio( he isn't paying me for this). I like the way they have done their tattoo shop. They even have a big aquarium. Anyway, we were directed to these two guys, who looked as if they are on drugs and have not taken bath for ages (but may be that is their idea of being COOL).
Hmmm, I did not have anything in mind but I was certain that I wanted to get it on my lower back and it should have my husband’s name. So, this guy showed us atleast a hundred pictures and after one hour of scrutinizing and discussion, I decided, I want a dragon, but, I did not like any of the pictures they had. Though, I did like one of the picture, but only its body, not the face. So finally this guy, who trued out to be a graduate in fine arts, sketched the face and name which looks like as if flames are coming out of the dragon’s mouth.

They also put some cream to numb the area so that it didn't pain,  however, he had to apply something else too to numb it during the process- when i started flinching. I was really very pleased with the professional attitude of this guy (read Ramesh)

It took him two and a half hour to do this job. But i dont mind, I really like my tattoo.

PS.- I don’t like the tattoo I have got from Devilz tattoo’s. That guy also lacks a professional attitude. Infact I had given him a call on Friday, as he was the only artist I knew till Friday, and know what, that jerk put me on the hold while has was chatting and laughing. Therefore, I cut the line, and thought, Dude you just lost a business of INR 15000. Duhhh.

I am loving it :)

I am writing after a long long time. All this time I was too busy with personal and professional life of mine. On personal front my parents are talking about my marriage with my boyfriend. My parents have met my beau’s mother and sisters. So one can understand how busy I must have been.
On professional side I have shifted from financial and life science PR team to technology team. Well, though I am more than excited to handle tech. clients, nevertheless, I don’t know anything about technology. I am a tech moron, as my BF calls me, and all this time I was happy that I know how to send /read an email or how to chat [where to chat ;-)] and a little bit about bloggin. However, now it seems, I have to work hard. Learn about technology atleast about the things in which my clients operate. I used to get bore whenever my beau try to teach me or talk about technology. But yesterday I asked him to help me understand what data centre is?

All in all a lot of things are happening in my life…and so far I like it.

Make people love you...

Destiny plays an immense role in our lives. I still wonder how unlikely it was for me and Sanna to meet. We belong to different states, different cultures, work in different companies, and are completely different personalities. But today we have become inseparable.

smiley
Likewise a few days back I took a gentleman out for a media round, I don’t even service that account. I took him just to help a colleague who also happens to be a friend. On the way we (client and I) started chatting on different things and by the end of our round we became friends. I learned a lot of things from him such as how to give a little personal touch to your otherwise business relationship without overdoing it.

We were discussing about cooking and he claimed to be a good cook. Latter he told me that he had lost his mother at the age of 13; he was the eldest with a 9-year old brother and 4-year old sister. So he had to cook everyday before going to school that's how he become a great cook. He talked about his first love in life; to become an actor. But his father asked him to think of something sensible instead.

At around 48-year of age he is working as a vice president with a big company; is happily married, and has a very cute son and loving son. He has gone through the thick and thin in life, and he has forgotten nothing about his past, which I think has helped him not be bigheaded in life.

While climbing up the stairs of my home I pledged not to be arrogant ever in my life. As I know being proud will only make me miss beautiful things in life.

You too make someone smile

Yesterday Sanna and I went to KFC. As we got down from the car a beggar came running after us. He was an old fellow with disabled leg, and was very feeble. He requested Sanna to get him some thing to eat. He said he doesn’t want money but he is starving.

I asked Sanna to get him something to eat from a vendor outside, as that would be cheap. But Sanna ignored and walked inside, and bought a chicken burger for him. I went out to offer it to the old man. I still can’t forget the spark in his eyes and the smile he gave me as I was walking towards him. When I offered Berger to him, he said` I knew you will come`.

As we were leaving that place that guy stood by our car and bowed his head and kept on smiling. That child like smile on his face was captivating.

I am so happy that we made some on smile. Why not all of us who can make people smile make a promise to ourselves that we will make one person smile every day, or at least every week. Trust me it will not cost you much, or may be not cost you anything at all. It will give you immense pleasure and you will be a happier person.

Happy Birthday Spartan

Hey Petu Spartan,

Many many Happy Returns of the day. May all your dreams come true. May you be the happiest person on this earth. I know i am a bit irritating girl, fight with you for no reason at all. But believe me i love you more then anything, i do act strange and pretend as if i don't care, but "I Do" i do care for every thing.

Every act of yours make a huge difference in my life. I have dream of my future my family with you. Because of you my life is so secure and im at peace. I am not worried of what may happen tomorrow. And it gives me immense joy to know that you understand me so well. You make complicated things very easy. Things which make me ponder all day seems so trivial when you explain them.

I love you lots. You are my world, my petu Spartan.

My Jaipur Trip

Last two days were very hectic; I was out of town with my team, for some event of our client. I was so excited to go, as I though I will get to see the new city and would be able to buy some stuff. But as soon as I reached there, ahh, we can’t even checked in to our hotel were rushed to the venue and stayed there till eleven at night then we went to our hotel checked in took bath had dinner at around 11:30pm, and then I went to bed.

Next day we got up early went to a famous temple there, and then went back to the venue. Since 9 in the morning I was running here and there to make sure if things are all right and then working in close association of my boss and the person of our other branch for press meet. I could not even grab a bite all this time and had lunch at around 4:30pm.

Right after the lunch we started for our journey back home. All my hopes to see the famous forts of the city dashed, and the worst thing my phone balance died and I could not talk to Sanna, and I missed him a lot all these two days. All the time my colleagues were teasing me for this. When I reached back at around 11:30pm he came to pick me and dropped me home, which I liked so much as a get to see him after two long days.

Well as the out come of the whole event is good, so all’s well that ends well.
